Fresh water intake
My class C RV allows me to use fresh water directly from campsite, also allows me to use water from my fresh water tank when boondock, just a flip of water pump switch.
Recently I stopped using fresh water directly from compsite, instead I use water from fresh water tank using water pump all the time, just fill it up when I leave the campsite. One reason is to keep fresh water tank constantly flowing, no stale fresh water. Another eason is the water pump provides better water pressure during shower compared to the campsite fresh water pressure.
Anyone else do the same? Your comment? Thanks in advance.

Probably about half of all RVers do the same.

Tank water is usually from home and reliable and safe- well water and tested by health dept regularly.
If filling tank from any faucet, I always filter at faucet, and for drinking have a separate filter system on board to remove PFAS and other contaminants. I don't even trust 'spring water' in the bottles much any more. I used to sell water filtration systems so I know a little about that...
PFAS is everywhere- but one place is non-stick cookware. Beware.

Yeah... Don't get me going about C8. My brother lived for several years in his 20's less than a mile from a well known DuPont dump site. He died from Renal cancer in 2019. He also had thyroid cancer before that.
I'm VERY cautious about the water I drink. Although most damage doesn't reveal itself until many years after ingestion.

Yes, we do that very thing. We try very hard to only use “city” (chlorinated) water in out tank. Many campgrounds use well water and in out experience it is somewhat risky and can “go bad” quickly.

I would also suggest installing an accumulator tank to reduce the demand on your water pump. It will prevent the pump from cycling when you are using it for a short duration & stabilize the overall flow.
