Maybe they should have double bagged the plastic Or better yet rode in the back holding an electric fan connected to small inverter blowing the fumes on inside the vehicle away from smoke being blown by the their cigarette

My favorite though is pulling up at a Valero or 7/11 and watching a worker who is apparently on break standing outside right next to a sign that says No Smoking and another that says Fuel Cutoff Switch It is as if they believe that is safest place to smoke because if something happens they push the cutoff switch.

Our country is is losing daily on moral compass & lack of plurality around common sense.

Thanks EA--never heard of that program. Got details anywhere?
Much appreciated,

My mistake it’s TSD not TDS.

https://www.tsdlogistics.com/services/fuel-program/

Been a few posts on the forum about the program.

Shoot me a PM if you want more info. I saved 43.00 the fill up before last. The program has no savings at Pilot because of their contract with Good Sam.

As ever, is it possible that the media is making more out of the shortage than it should just to make a point or support an agenda? Methinks.

At least, this is much safer than gas in plastic bags, totes, etc.

Shortage over?

I haven't paid much attention to the gas station situation, till I saw this thread, but we are crossing into the dreaded southeast right now, is this thing over?

That looks really cool. Are the savings as good as the video says? Also you can get a $25 fuel credit for a referral. I think you should refer me. I’m going to sign up for it.

From the time they put the pipeline on max speed, etc. it takes 18 days to get fuel from Houston to New Jersey. I have not heard whether it was loaded at max capacity yet.

We filled up in Houston last Friday at $2.43 and came to Middle Tennessee. We saw no shortage of gas along the way

Gas problem over

No problem getting gas pipe line flowing and trucks delivering gas.

And we big RV'ers are all victims. Come on, 10/20 cents a gallon increase and we must all call our vacations/fun trips off or pout because of the price of fuel? How much did that rig cost you?
Can;t afford fuel, park it. What a bunch of babies.

Recent trip up the East Coast

I drove our RVfrom the Tampa area to Rhode Island last week, leaving Florida on Thursday, May 13 (six days ago) and arriving home on Sunday, May 16. Gas supplies were fine in Florida, moderately constrained in Georgia and Virginia, and severely constrained in the Carolinas. I definitely stopped for gas more frequently than would normally have been the case, filling up once the fuel gauge reached 1/2 full rather than waiting until it was only 1/4 full as is my usual practice. I encountered a few stations that had no gas at all and one that had only premium (which I bought because I was uncertain that I would be able to find any other gas within a reasonable distance). During the majority of my refueling stops the pumps were only a little busier than usual--not unlike a Friday afternoon at the start of a three-day weekend--although at one station I waited for about 30 minutes while a fuel truck made a delivery, and then the darned pumps ran so slowly that it took me almost 15 minutes to fill the tank--adding fuel to an empty underground storage tank apparently stirred up a lot of sediment that clogged the gas pump filters. Yuck!

That was a few days ago. I'd be amazed if supply and demand weren't back in synch by now. I was a college student in New Hampshire who lived off campus during the gas crisis in the 1970s and needed my car to get to and from classes. That misery lasted several weeks and was much worse than the little blip we experienced last week. Nevertheless, I'm glad this latest mini-gas crisis is behind us. Unfortunately, I don't think it's the last one we'll see...

The thread is about the inability to get gas, not about any price increase associated with that, although there were definitely cases of gouging going on, which is much more than a 10 or 20 cent price increase.

BTW, calling someone a "baby" is breaking the rules you agreed to when you signed up for this forum. You might want to go back and read those. This is NOT Reddit.
