Thor CEO on CNBC

Yesterday...CNBC’s Jim Kramer interviewed Thor CEO Bob Martin on the current state and future trends of the RV industry. Along with the recent increase in Thor stock price.

Here’s a link to the written and video discussion...

We were talking about that yesterday on this post....

I posted back in April about a coming spike in RV sales with people being hesitant to get on planes, cruise ships or stay in hotels. Some people balked because of the unemployment skyrocketing but RV sales are definitely spiking.

A local dealer sold out of all his used inventory and a 1/3 of his new inventory when he was allowed to reopen. He thought he was going to go out of business. Now his sales are booming but he can't hire enough new employees.

Interesting comments about changes in RV usage beyond pandemic affect. Hopefully pandemic is temporary, but other trends may remain.

I understand their need for variable capacity manufacturing, but to me a revolving door of employees seems a major challenge to maintaining consistent quality.

He mentioned Hymer in Europe a few times but no mention about the planned expansion in North America. I was hoping he’d update on Hymer USA plans.
