Push in on the hood when turning the key. Once opened luby duby all moving parts in the locks and hinges.

You have to turn the keys. You sure you got the right keys? Has it ever worked and just stopped?

If so; I would spray a lubricant inside the key slot and crawl underneath to see if I could spray the back side as well.

Call a mobile RV repair.
Have him/her go over the list you make and then pay him to show you every.single.thing. on the RV.

It'll be the best $150 you'll RV spend.

But for now;
Use a lot of force.

Push and turn. Then don't lock. The hood on my Hurricane hasn't been locked since June of 2018.

I've wondered about not locking mine. I'd rather not.
Does yours lift up, or go down?

Did you verify the key? Are there two locks? Are they both not turning?

If so; throw in you confirm it was working 3 weeks ago, so at least one would unlock.

Also, assume you have confirm the key, do you have another one?

Don't assume the key is good, sometimes they shave off the edges and need to be replace. My money is on a bad key, or wrong key.

Good luck.

Mine pulls out then lifts up. It was such a pain to unlock the first time, I never locked it.

The key turns both places. About a 1/2 turn I’m going to try all the suggestions in a bit as I’m moving today . Thx

If I don’t lock mine it would raise up and obscure my vision when driving. I have to push it down (kinda goes down & in) and hold it in to lock. Push while unlocking as well

I guess I don't remember how the TMC locks work. Seems like an extra step for a Hood?

On my hood it is either locked or propped open about an inch. So you push in and turn the key and it is locked. The Outdoor TV is the same way. All the other locks for compartment doors and hatch (outdoor kitchen) allow you to fully close while being unlocked.

But again, a bad key won't turn. People don't think or believe the key can be bad but they do go overtime with use.

If you don't put pressure (push in) on the hood panel as you turn the key you run the risk of the lock cylinder coming loose. When that happens the whole thing just spins and you can't open the hood. To fix, it seems one would have to reach up from the bottom and try to get it out. Good luck with that. A corollary: make sure the nut securing the cylinder is tight by checking it from time to time. My lock has a bezel that can be held when turning the lock to ensure the lock itself does not rotate.
