Leveling for slideouts

Ordered a new compass. How important is it to level coach before extending slideout?

You want it to be level enough for your fridge to be happy...
(Within about three degrees of level.)
Congratulations on the new rig!

It would also make it easier on the slide out motors to start off with a level coach. No need to stress the motors or tweak them.

Always a good idea to level before extending slides.

Who are the slides and slide mechanical systems manufactured by? Makes a difference as to how smooth they operate.

I would recommend a bubble level rather than a compass. It's better to see it level rather than the direction of faces.
