Thank you Chance for posting that chart. It's the first time I seen a weight range for the E series front axle. My E350 stripped says 4600 lb min - 5000 lb max. My weight on front axle was 4800 with full tank gas, cargo loaded including me and 1/2 tank fresh water. I'd say that's perfect for front axle load.

Scales reported 7560 lbs on rear axle. Gross GVWR is 12360, leaving only 140 lbs for my adult daughter (105 lbs) and clothing for both of us.

Yellow OCCC sticker gave me 1300 lbs cargo. I'll have to stay with 1/2 tank fresh water max and I'll be at max gross GVWR 12500. When I bring my eScooters, I will be over but not exceeding either axle weight. It is what it is.

1300 lbs OCCC doesn't go far at all, especially for a coach rated to sleep 5, LOL. Not to mention all the storage space available in a 24.1.

We did a lot of research on capacity andd settled on 24.1 on e450. Since primary duty was to pull 5200 lb open drag car trailer we needed the 3199 lb OCC on yellow sticker.

The e350 chassos would have been stretching limits as we will be travelling to 4 day race with extra water and will likely be in the 18500 lb range.

Agree 1,300 pounds OCCC seems a bit low for a motorhome that size. At least 2,000 pounds would provide greater loading options when traveling with 5 people — don’t all have to be adults. Children often travel with more “stuff”.

Checking other new 24.1 floor plans for sale show listed OCCC in that same range — 1,405 and 1,445 pounds. Yours must have more options, if that’s possible.

Anyway, the 24.1 seems to have gained a few pounds since inception.

P.S. — I can’t recommend overloading any vehicle, but if I had an Axis 24.1 would not hesitate loading rear axle close to 8,500-pound rating. Also, keep in mind that any load added behind rear axle (supported from receiver or in rear compartment) will magnify load on rear axle and unload front axle.

Has anyone removed the upper cab bunk in a 24.1 or equivalent? That could be a substantial weight reduction.

Based on the double queen system that was in my toy hauler:
It's about 85lbs max, maybe as low as 60lbs, including bedding.

That would reduce load on front axle, where you already have the same 5,000-pound rating as an E-450. Granted, it would allow greater rear axle load to be added without going over the GVWR, but to me that seems more of a paper gain than towards real added safety factor (margin).
