New Owners Resource

Thor informed me yesterday they have reconfigured the owners resource section of their website. They are looking for feedback on the change. I see some pluses and some shortcomings. The search function is useful, my biggest issue was they removed the chassis manufacturers information and owners manual. Log in and check out your information.

My guess would be that Thor has to buy a license for use of each individual piece of infomation.
Site traffic may dictate that only 1:150,000 owners use the site and it isn't worth renewing licensing agreements.
Or.
since They overlap sites, it's an ongoing process that is keeping someone employed.
Progress progresses.

A suggestion would be to Download what you can while you can.

My VIN and model are there. But the Ford Transit manual is not. Maybe just for now. But worth watching.

Thor just sent me an email with a link to a new page of Owner Resources. I guess that this replaces the old Thor Knowledge Center which as of today was still active, but I suspect will be taken down sometime soon.

The two links have pretty much the same information, but the old one seems to have more, 182 documents in the old system and about 100 in the new. The differences seem to be data sheets for minor components.

FWIW of the 100 documents on the new one, only one of which, Schematics, seems to be specific to my 2021 Axis 24.1. The rest are either component data sheets that could be on any MH, general explanation videos like winterizing, and non specific chassis manuals.

Anyone know why they did this? The old system seemed to be working fine.

Did every Thor owner get the email stating they have a new website for Thor owners to look up all the information for their RV

I got the same email and logged into the new site. I assumed all the same info would be there but now reading these posts I need to check again.

Edit—I checked and not all info transferred from old site to new site. I can still log into the old site but who knows how long it will be active.

I typed in Ford chassis and nothing came back. I typed in Ford and I got this Thetford, Toilet, Aqua Magic II, Is Thor trying to tell us something?

I reset my account and didn't see any new documents I didn't already have from the old page in the new webpage.

I didn’t get the email so I sent them one and I got the information in under 2 hours.

I liked the new site because it seemed to only show information specific to my VIN where as the old site had many documents for things that are not installed on our model. I downloaded most of the stuff on the old site and then found myself weeding through it to eliminate those that were not specific to our coach.

The new site still has those few documents that are not on my RV model, such as electric step operation. The Axis/Vegas do not have external steps at all.

Thank you for contacting Thor Motor Coach. Yes, we are working on including the chassis information for the new site. Due to the way the chassis part numbers area internally categorized, they were not originally included in the initial data upload to the new system. I found and down loaded my drawings from the new website. I did not have access to any of this information prior. So maybe good for some and not so for others?? It may take time to catch up. Why did I down load every file I could, access is instant on my hard drive and it could go away when changes are made in the future.

You are wise. I have known companies to change hands and then decide to remove access to technical information to the general public.
