Portable Waste Tanks

I have class a mh with 40 gallon black & grey tanks. I haven't needed one yet (most sites not FHU) but was wondering about getting a 4wheel portable waste tank but the largest I've seen is 35+/- gallons. Questions:
a. Do most people have them?
b. Since I can't one larger than my tank size does it make sense to get the largest I can or a cheaper 27 gal. +/- size?
c. Does everyone travel with them attached to ladder, if so what's the best way?
Thanks for any suggestions/comments you might have.

"Most people" do not carry a "blue boy" but a lot of people do. Many do carry them on ladders, some in the bed of pick-up toads, some on hitch carriers.

The purpose of the blue boy is to create room in the onboard tanks, not to drain them completely. Fill, dump, repeat as necessary during your stay to prevent onboard tanks from overflowing.

If you get one...and actually use it...drain tanks off often. Don't wait till they fill up...it will be nasty. After morning showers, transfer...after a couple days of pooping...transfer. In the end, you will transfer the same amount of liquid but you'll be safer working on the bottom of your tanks than the top. Lots of downward pressure builds up when full.
