Seiki TVs

What’s this I hear that the TVs in my 2015 Vegas cannot receive a cable signal directly off the campground coax because it doesn’t have the correct tuner? Requires a cable box? What the heck?

Nevermind..I found my answer..Sorry for the clutter..it’s true, without the correct digital tuner, it can’t decode the cable signal, or something.

Well, maybe. There has been much discussion of those Suckee TVs on this forum. Do a search and read away.

We were in a couple of RV parks where our TVs didn't work because of a lack of a QAM tuner. So I switched out one of the TVs with a smart TV on a Black Friday special. Since then, we have been in a couple dozen RV parks and our remaining Suckee TV worked at every one.

Your results may vary....

Just look for a smart TV of the right size on sale. You should be able to find one for about a sawbuck.

Re THOSE Seiki TV's...we ran into the same problem...switched out the TV in the bedroom for a Vizio and have no issues ! We dont watch a lot of tv when on the road or camping, however, when we do want to view .. we want it !

Bob, point out these sales where you can get a new flat screen for $10.00, because that's a pretty sweet deal.

I was in an RV park last wk that had SD analog cable.
The Seiki’s worked fine but the picture wasn’t very good. Small size and a bit blurry

I’ve got a DISH dome on my roof & use as our primary TV viewing.
The Seiki’s work great in HDMI 1, 2, or 3 modes.
