OR..."the holding tanks are full". We've had it happen at races and a few other places. Once that first person goes....the word will pass around like wildfire and you'll have a line a mile long. Next, they will want to hang around in the warmth...then start into your water and food stocks. If you were not in an RV...what would you do? That's what they need to figure out. Sounds a bit rude but...where will you "go" once they've filled your holding tanks...plus, it's just nasty in today's times. We're heading to Atlanta for the March NASCAR race. Having moved from there, we will have a lot of friends coming out to visit. I've ordered a portable toilet delivered to my campsite for everyone to use. I will place "Private" signs on it, as many people around the campground will expect they can use it also instead of using the ones the racetrack provides. We will have water and 50A but no sewer. Pump out truck charges $50 but we can go quite a few days with just the two of us using the toilets. Otherwise, everyone would fill both tanks in one day.

In my "bug out" stocks I have several empty "Coffee Mate" containers (screw on lids) with a spoonful of blue toilet chemical in them, a zip lock bag of toilet tissue and a small bottle of water. I placed them in all our vehicles including my wife's for that just-in-case moment you might get caught in a traffic snarl for hours. They are still there and I have 5 of them in the coach just in case we were to get caught with tanks full and the need arises (or someone comes knocking on your door). People just need to wake up to the world and prepare for every possible scenario.

I'll do a few of these this week.

I'll carry a couple of three of these in the RV.
It will allow me to be of service to others without major inconvenience.

Thanks.
Excellent solution.

Camp fire guest:'These marshmallows taste like they were cooked over a turd'
Odd toilet paper host:' they were cooked over a turd! Wanna buy a toothbrush'?

Everyone should have a side gig.

After reading all these posts I decided to amend my answer. If stuck in a traffic jam, yes I would let some strangers to use my RVs facilities. Just like on the Titanic, it would be women and small children first. A man or boy can just go behind a tree. Having a blanket no use policy would not be very neighborly and I refuse to lie, so I couldn't say the tanks were full or we had no water.

Why we limit #2 use on our RV....

A few reasons:

a) When i first joined the site, i read multiple stories of Grandparents with kids that filled the Black Tank and it went all over RV floor, and they had to clean with towels...EW!

1) We mostly stay in FL State Parks and the restrooms are kept very nice.

2) The parks don't have sewer hookup at the sites, so we fill up pretty quickly and must dump ever 2 days. With toilet paper and #2, this would fill up faster.

3) The System on our RV has the Sink and Toiler both draining into the Black Tanks. This fills it up pretty quick, and i don't want fumes coming up the sink as we brush our teeth. See highlighted fig below

Look at your sink drain plumbing. Just like in your house, no fumes will come up through the sink drain.

I would certainly share water, food and paper so they could enter the wooded area on I-95.
So you only go poo is you rv?
#1 is pee
#2 is poop

Why have a rv if you don't use it, why not just use a tent

I also don't understand why some folks are reluctant to use their RV toilet or shower. We bought ours to use and we aren't "saving" it for the next owner. That said, we keep it very clean and only use septic. safe toilet paper. Having our own facilities is one of our biggest reasons for having a motorhome in the first place. It's always clean and private. To each his own I guess. We had a

We use the big Charmin, 'if there was any paper you think you shouldn't shouldn't use in black tank, this is them' rolls.

Take three squares of your favorite, put it in a half filled clear glass, let it sit for 30 seconds put you hand over the top to seal it, shake the glass until the paper breaks up.
It's likely to be on the third shake.
But yes, the rv paper breaks down quicker. How much quicker than 3 shakes do you need?

Myth of special toilet paper(likely) dispelled. If not totally dispelled, try it again in 10 minutes. I doubt it's still together. I think even the truckstop bulk stuff will be gone by then.

It's kind if a
'Never was'
Marketing ploy.

3 month 3,000 mile oil change type fluffy words.
(1963 ford was 6,000 mile oil change and 100,000 chassis grease lube. But dad believed the marketing instead of the manufacturer so twice the cost Because the commercial on the Carol Burnett Show told him to...and he told you/me.)

But
Sometimes mental comfort is needed more than bodily comfort.
It's you all's call and expense.

And
Try a tide pod in the black tank. We think we like them better than the standard black tank chemicals.
