hose advice
As a newbie, I purchased a drinking hose from the RV dealer for our new Chateau 24BL. It is so stiff I can't roll it up properly when camping. I can look for a more flexible brand...but...can I use a pocket hose the cloth (on outside) type that I use in the yard dedicating a new one for the purpose of a drinking hose? It would be extremely flexible and take up little space.
If that would work I could probably find a use for the large piping in the propane area that is dedicated for the sewer hose by Thor yet won't fit any end connector in it (sewer hoses) so it is basically being unused.
It would be great if another one could be used for the saniflush also.

I have been using the cheap camco hoses from wally world. They are stiff at first, but they last a long time.

I use the Zero G Blue Marine drinking water safe hose and it works great. Easy to store.

I've been using the same Camco hose for 3 years. When it finally goes to "Hose Hell": I'll get a Zero G for sure.

Is it ok to store your hoses together hose and sewer if you put the drinking hose inside the sewer it keeps it from unrolling

I sure wouldn't...
Mine are stored in separate bays.
I keep my drinking and clean-out hoses in separate storage bags.

You need to keep them separate so as not to accidentally cross contaminate them.

It’s as safe as making coffee using the water from the toilet. .

We stopped using our older stiff hose and bought a zero G. $28 and well worth the decreased storage hassle. We have a good sized compartment and so we do store the water hose in the same compartment as the sewer but always make a closed loop with the two ends of the fresh hose and it is in a separate side, away from the sewer hose.

Flexzilla hoses are drinking water safe and very flexible and dont harden in the cold. However, if you are looking for lighter and space saving what you suggested could work. I use a 25' Flexzilla and its not very heavy nor does it take up much space.

Our dog weighs just under five pounds, and shares bottles of drinking water with us by drinking from the cap.
Although she does wonder why we do what we do in that smelly room... And she has to go outside in the rain!

I use a blue Zero-G drinking water hose that I got at the RV dealer's shop. I think it's 50 feet. It rolls into a small plastic tote that I keep it in, with my water filter. I also cap the ends after I drain it and stuff it into the tote, to help keep the hose and threads clean. See photo.

Many do it yourself places have the cloth covered hoses and most say drinking water safe. I also use quick disconnects on everything. when I'm done I put both ends of the hose together to keep them clean. If people did this they could put anything in the compartment and not contaminate the drinking water hose. I also bought a thread cleaner for hose threads because some campgrounds and friends houses have messed up threads and this will make them like new
