Are all bumper pull Ultra lites built cheaply??

A retired RV technician that told me to avoid ultra lite trailers because they are shabbily built??

I have been shopping for slightly used trailers and have come across several ultra lites less than 4 years old that look sparingly used. They appear to be in good shape. I am currently considering a 2019 Tracer by Forest river model 274BH. This trailer is very lightly used and appears like new.

this trailer has an aluminum frame and fiberglass sides . I intend to tow the trailer very little and use it for a stationary hunting camp.

Any advice regarding avoiding ultra lites and or suggestion re this 274bh Tracer by Forest River would be appreciated.

Trust your own judgement more. If the RV passes YOUR inspection: that's the one that matters.
Good luck, and happy shopping!

Take this question to the Forest River forum. You might get a better response.

My last three were all ultralight bumper pulls. No major issues with any of them, and speaking very generally, they had neither better nor worse quality than non-ultralights in the same price range.

As for that model specifically, I don't know anything about it.

Can’t speak for the ultra lites but we had a Forrest River. 26Tbud and we never had any real problems with it in the 4 years we owned it.
