Secondary VIN

We just bought a 2001 E.G.Cruiser, touring edition travel trailer that was represented to us as being homemade. Can't find any identification tag on it anywhere. Does anyone know where the secondary VIN would be stamped?

Take it to your motor vehicle department.
Why, after purchase, do you have a Vin question?

Does a corporate name plastered on it, implying many variations of trailer from one builder, equate to home made?

If it's home made, how can a very specific non-homemade forum help you?

Where I'm from
'Homemade' for that vehicle would mean stolen or an irretrievable title.
You'll maybe need a bond to get it in your name.
If the tag is missing it may get confiscated by authority.

You have to have it registered eventually. Take the trailer to the proper authority and let them sort it out.

(Almost invariably it's stamped on the tongue of homemade trailers by whatever authority is in authority)

CHECK THE TIRE DATE CODES AND ACT ACCORDINGLY/RESPONSIBLY.

Cruiser RV is not homemade. Get the VIN off the title you should have been provided at same. No title and no VIN plate you should have the PD Theft king verify it’s not a stolen trailer.

It's a little different here in Canada. They don't have Titles, so to speak, but they have a Transfer of Ownership document on the back of the registration, that you Transfer from one owner to the next. I think it amounts to pretty much the same thing.
I do have that, but have to verify the numbers match.
Also here, if someone loses the VIN sticker and any records of the VIN number, and they never had the trailer insured, they can change it to homemade status, in which case they can have a new serial number issued.
Or, worst case scenario, the trailer is hot...
I don't think that's likely the case though, because it isn't worth very much, and can be tracked back to the previous owner. Unless of course they lie about it, and say it isn't the same trailer they sold us.

So when you take it to the motor magistrate and they sort it all out,
Let us know what happened.

We cannot be of any avail as you know that eventually you'll have to get the authority involved.

That eventuality has arrived.

Well, that trailer is homemade alright.
I found a Canadian Tire receipt in with the paperwork from August 3, 2010. It had the warranty card filled out with a name on it. It belonged to an old Mennonite couple in Winkler. I tracked them down and called them.
The ladies uncle was a carpenter, used to build custom trailers for people, it was one of his. He ended up selling out to Triple E.
I guess it was their first trailer. They finally traded it in at GNR Camping World in Winnipeg
