In the San Antonio area there are about 25 notable places of interest. Starting with the fact San Antonio is on top of the largest artesan aquifer (the Edwards) in the world and the blue hole is the start of the San Antonio river Then there is the river walk and Sea World. You could take the SAWS tour (rain to drain). The San Antonio missions park, and Spanish Governors Palace are often on the places to see. If you are bringing kids there is Six Flags Fiesta park. North Wast San Antonio is the start of the Texas Hill Country and every little town has some claim to fame. The most visited is Fredericksburg.

Thanks for the info! Any recommendation on where to camp?

There is a great wild animal park just north of San Antonio. You can drive through as many times in one day as you like. As for a park can not help.
