Just to have handy laying around the camper? US? North America? World?

When I've used atlases I usually stuck with the Rand McNally ones (Amazon)

For individual states you could use the Gazetteer maps (Amazon). These are usually really detailed.

Go to a truck stop and get a truckers Atlas, it will have clearances listed for low places you don't want to go!

Highly recommend Rand McNally large scale atlas. Maps are over 1/3 larger and it has a spiral binder for longer life and easier page turning. Example Alabama takes four pages. Detail much better and easier to read.

SAMs Club offers the Rand McNally Atlas...we have purchased them for a number of years.
In addition, we upgraded our Garmin to the RV version which will help with clearances and bridges.

Don't know anything about the Rand atlas, have always kept a current Trucker's atlas. SuperD is correct about the information it contains. Many of the restrictions that applies to big rigs may also apply to some RV's of a certain height, length, and weight. When advance planning I initially check my Trucker's atlas to see if my desired route will be a "designated" route for big rigs, then I go from there.
