Staying at Crystal Crane Hot springs. Not fancy but a fun place, near Burns Oregon, worth a slight side trip.

Well, we have about 1200 miles under our belt. We are in Rawlins Wyo. I had forgotten how boring Utah and Wyo are.
Mileage so far is 10.09 mpg. I had hoped for slightly more but have to remember because of it being a long trip we are loaded to the max.
I am setting the cruise for 64 to 65.
Headed into CO for a couple days to visit friends and then off across Ne.
Watching the hurricane, it may change our plans.

Seriously? Where in Wyoming and Utah did you go? We were in both states earlier this year and found them to be wonderful. Did you go to Zion?

In Grand Island Ne.
We had a stiff tail wind the day before yesterday, and when fueling in Greeley Co. We calculated a whopping 11.8 mpg! Unfortunately, we were pushing an even stiffer head wind from Fort Morgan Co all the way to Grand Island and have probably given it all back. Fueling tomorrow will tell. Found a neat looking festival in Fort Bridger Wy, if you are ever near there, labor day weekend, there is an old fashioned Rendezvous the town of 400+ looks like it grows to thousands!
We are finding, Pilot truck stops have consistently lowest prices on gas, are easy to get in and have this big windshield cleaners. We will be paying special attention for them.

Thanks for update!
SamsClub & Costco generally have the best fuel prices if you can revolve your travels around them.
Also, Flying J gives you a 5 cent per gallon credit if you scan your Camping World membership card.
Keep the cards and letters coming, & be careful out there.

Pilot & Flying J (same company) both have 5 cent discount with Good Sam membership card. But, sometimes Sam's Club beats their price by a couple of cents even with discount included. Gas Buddy is my go-to app. Yeah, I'm a tight wad. Use that couple of bucks I save on gas to grab a hotdog or popcorn in the station.

Good Sam membership card? Yeah right. We joined 4 months ago, and although they find our mailbox with all kinds of offers to buy crap, they have not been able to get our cards to us.
Did find gas in Altoona Iowa for $2.07, but it is E15 instead if E10. It will be interesting to see if my mileage suffers. Right now I am averaging about 10.3 to 10.5

Made a side trip to Dysart Iowa yesterday to see the three dimensional street paintings. Well worth the extra hour. Nicest people we have ever met.

We are in PA. Been to Mi. ,Canada, (Niagra Falls)
Across beautiful hills of New York, then here. Mileage is holding just over 10 regardless of load or terrain. The biggest factor is wind. With a tail wind, the mileage got to almost 12. With a headwind dropped down to just over 9.
Thank goodness for the big curved windshield.
And Yaktop, thanks for the scanguage recommendation, I didn't know they existed. I went with the ultraguage for a better display and less cost but love it already. It is worth it just for the distance to empty guage!

I forgot to mention, we stopped in Dearborn, at the Henry Ford. We went to the Greenfield Village. It is a great historical stop, a full village set in the late 1800s with a lot of Authentic buildings that have been moved there, such as Edison's workshop, and the Wright Bros shop.
Normally it is a wonderful full day. Except when we were there, the annual Old car festival was going on, Over 700 old cars, pre 1932 on display, and just driving all over town. I could not recommend this higher. An experience of a lifetime.

We enjoyed Philidelphia, but not driving in the area. Very few options for RVs, and the roads getting to them are narrow steep and overgrown with trees. We scraped the top once and actually
scraped a bridge railing when forced over.
Glad to be out of there.
We are in DC. Staying at the Cherry Hill Park in Maryland. Expensive but really worth it! All the amenities you could need, and they really make it easy to see DC which is what everyone wants. Orientation meeting every evening where they explain all the tours available, how to see DC without a tour and how to get into the city. The metro bus actually stops in the park.
