About a 4 hour drive if you are adventurous
we were going to do that several yrs ago...on the dual sport Suzuki...it does not have the largest of gas tanks...decided against it...
ya know the song "40 miles of bad road" … there are no services etc...rider/driver be ware. Perhaps we were over cautious.

We will never know....

That sounds like the same trail a few of my friends did a while back on bicycles. They started in St George and rode through Zion, then to Bryce, and somehow followed unpaved roads/trails to come out on north side of Lake Powell at a ferry crossing. From there they rode to Durango and Mesa Verde. I regret having missed the opportunity to go on that bike trip with them. It sounded like quite an adventure.

We have camped at Lake Powell and the view of the lake from campground is pretty nice.

Re Lake Powell campground...yes it is a beautiful area. We wanted to rent a JetSki and get out on the lake to explore some of the slots which are really not as available when the lake level is normal..It will be interesting to see how the lake has recovered with all the snow and rain this past winter/spring.

Good to hear from you Chance...missed you posts.
