We are receiving RV Life newsletter .. and found a nifty
firelog...which we thought we would pass on ..
called a Swedish Fire Log ... requires cutting with chainsaw, appears.

They are pretty common at farm stores and home stores. Never used one but will try when we start up again this spring.

THANK YOU Jamie ... bundling a split log or 4 pieces together as the video shows and tying together with wire might be easier ! ... as the video shows.

ANOTHER neat thing that was posted was....
save your toilet paper and paper towel cardboards ...
stuff dryer lint into them....store them in a plastic bag until
you need kindling for a fire...
how many times have we been at a campground scrounging around for something to start a fire !!

Have seen these torch logs at a few campground stores. Bought and burned one at a KOA in Minnesota in 2015. The gkids loved it, the carved face made a cool glow as it burned.

We have done this a number of times, it works great, just take a log about 10 inch diameter, set it on end, and cut it about 1/3 of the way down into 6 or 8 segments with a chain saw. put some small sticks etc on the end and light it, burns quite a while.

Best fire to cook over, too. And very economical on wood usage. It's a great invention.
