Camping in Zion Utah

If anyone is headed to Zion Utah and looking for a nice rv park about 15 min from the Zion national park entrance the Zion River RV Resort is nice. Zion is amazing to say the least.

We have reservations in Bryce Campground next month. I'm hoping we have the major issues resolved with our new Class C by then.

Bryce is amazing as we driove over there earlier this past week. We hiked the peekaboo loop from sunset then around the rim trail amazing views from in and above the canyon.

We will be coming from Moab so we are going down through Capital Reef to Bryce, then down through Zion and the tunnel over to Hurricane, then down to Vegas.

Keep in mind Zion can be very cramped and crowded....and there is the tunnel with some restrictions...we did it several years ago with our Dorado 25bb .. traffic is restricted ...single lane so RV's can drive down the center..
the STATE OF UTAH is awesome !!

And don't forget the rather hefty tunnel fee, plus having to wait for the times set by the Park Service for when they will caravan RV's through the tunnel. NPS Zion site provides the details on cost and timing.

We've stayed at the Zion south entrance campsite three times that I recall over last 20 years or so, and really enjoy being able to walk to shuttle trams; and more importantly being able to ride our bikes into park without getting on main roads.

Short tandem ride to end of loop early in morning (about 8 miles each way more or less) still ranks as one of my most memorable cycling experiences. It's not every day you get a beautiful road to yourself that's closed to traffic.

We stayed in Zion a couple weeks ago at both Watchman and South. Both stay full. We had reservations at Watchman. Then We got in line at South at 6am and was #11 in line. We were assigned a site by 8:30. Both campgrounds were great. The park was amazing.

Well we loved Zion so much we are headed back the end of June for 2 nights. Staying just outside the park. Looking forward to doing the Narrows hike now the water levels are manageable. We have a huge trip planned up to Canada and back so we will be on the road for a month so had to squeeze Zion in.
