Finally made it out, and discovered an amazing place
We had been planning on exploring the Okanagan valley, following it from WA up into British Columbia, but since we can't cross the border, we decided to stay in Oroville for a longer time. Most RV parks are totally full, so we stayed at the city park. Right on the Osoyoos lake, nicely maintained, and less than half full - mostly families playing in the lake. The area is remarkably beautiful and perfect for bicycling - valleys to climb in most directions (except North, for now).
There was a lot of mining a long time ago, and several of the camps along the river are now BLM land with camping available right on a river. Also remarkably empty - one or two day-trippers fishing and at most 2 campers.
After a long break, it was great to finally get out and about again.
