Camping in Cottonwood is a better choice. Deadhorse Ranch State Park or one of the private campgrounds.
In August, Schnebly Hill was a booger of a trail downhill from I-17 in our Jeep. Seems that there has been recent backhoe work leaving good sized boulders to climb over. Looks like even Pink Jeep tours don't go to the overlook anymore .
