Besides the free entry into National Parks another great benefit of the Senior Pass is the 50% discount at Corp of Engineer campgrounds. I use the Recreation.gov App for no hassle reservations

I got my Golden Age Passport so long ago they were $10 for life & came with a few benefits no longer on the new ones. I'm 87 so it's got a lot of mileage on it.

I know the thread is about the fee based pass for folks over 62, but there is also an annual pass for all veterans that is free as well as a lifetime pass for disabled veterans that is also free. If you qualify, skip the fee based passes and get one of the free ones. I've had my free access pass since 1995 and have saved tons of money over the years.

Good keep using rec.gov gems. We are in isacc creek Alabama $13 a night full hookups clean showers and laundry..traveling country since mid November and usually under $15 night or free!
