Getting Psyched for 1st Trip

First trip of the season planned for late March (if I can dig the MH out of the snow by then LOL). Going to Ocean Lakes Family CG in Myrtle Beach(3rd time). I know it won't be super warm but I went about the same time another year and it worked for me. I generally prefer quieter state park type CGs so if I'm going to a big one like this I'd rather it not be height of the season.

I got the last site at end of a row right in front of the beach. Thought I might stop one the way down and back somewhere. Thinking about DC for the war memorials, etc. on way down and Colonial Williamsburg on way back. I've been to both before so may change my mind on them.

I don't tow a car so I usually just rent one if wanted when I get somewhere. Not sure it's worth it at Myrtle Beach as I'm really going just for the beach. I don't care much for the touristy stuff in that area.

I had a hard time getting reservations anywhere for the upcoming season so I only booked a few trips. I guess I'll have to wing it with some others.

Anyway, it's been a long, cold, depressing winter so I wanted to jump back into RV mode which always makes me happy and "talk" to someone besides my work from home buddies (dog and cat).

Take care, Beth

We are doing something similar, but are going in late April. We are headed to Savannah but will be staying the night before south of MB (roughly halfway between there and Charleston, SC, I think) at Buck Hall Recreation Area. Then we are going to be at Ft. McAllister State Historic Area outside Savannah for a few days. We are renting a car while we are there because we do not tow either. We've never been to either campground, so would love to hear from anyone who has.

I hope you have a wonderful trip! Let's hope we have a warm, sunny spring for getting back out on the road! -Jane
