And if you hear a loud noise right at sunset, then that is somebody celebrating the sundown going down by blowing into a conch. Sunset Grille and Raw Bar has an excellent sunset, but get pretty crowded.
Also, if you drive out to No Name Key, there is a pretty good chance you'll see the Keys deer running around. They are very tame and won't run away.

If you get towards Keys West, the locals favorite is Hogfish Bar and Grille, one island east of Key West. Key West is great, but it's also very touristy, especially when the cruise ships let off their passengers. One of my favorite all time trips was to fly a float plane out to Dry Tortugas. A bit pricey, but I believe it ranks as one of my all time trips. There is also a ferry that takes about 2 hours, but costs much less than the float plane.

The only thing I'd ever read about was what you'd mentioned in an earlier post....booking before your actual date needed...based on your 14 number (is that really the number, I don't recall) that gives 13 more chances of trying to get through....
Personally I'm opposed to that....view it as dishonest and cheating.....but it is what it is.
I've never come anywhere close to making trip plans 11 months out... so small chance for me to ever see those sites sadly.

I notice they don't have a sewer hookup. Do they have a dump station? No mention of it on Recreation.gov site.

of course they do, if you look at google maps overview satellite of the park, you can see a DOUBLE pullthru dump station just past the entrance GATE... I don't know of any campground or park, with electricity and/or water that would not.

Ok, thanks. I did notice they listed it out for other COE parks so was hoping you'd see this and confirm/deny. I'll keep Google in mind for next time.

Safe Travels.

McKinney COE

McKinney? Don't bother. It's a waste of time, energy and resources.

The freight trains will remind you of this post. Sunday - three times tonight. I wonder if they're done...at least for tonight.
