OBX Campground

We stayed at OBX Campgound in 2020 and recommend it. OBX is not adjacent to the ocean, but sites are larger and some are on the water.
For dinner, we really liked the nearby Colington Cafe.
Kitty Hawk and Roanoke are worth a visit. We took the car ferry to Oracoke (with a rental car). We didn't think it was worth the long wait and time to take the ferry.

Any campsites folks have stayed at?
Site seeing
The outer banks are beautiful. We were there in October and the wind was relentless after noon and the shoreline had steep banks. Overall my family didn’t care for the area.
