Gray tank vent blocked?

I have a 2018 ACE 32.1 When draining the gray water tank it goes for a while then seems to stop draining while the hose is still full then suddenly releases like when you are emptying a jug of water without a vent. Are these vented? Where is the vent and is it common to get blocked? How do I unblock it? Thanks.

I do not know about your specific rig. But mine has a vent on the roof. You could remove the cap to it and run a scope down to see if there is an obstruction. You could also pull a sinks trap and see how it drains then. As pulling the trap will act as a vent. Hope this helps.

Yes they are vented thru the roof. Many times what happens is during construction they drill out the plug for the vent pipe and let it fall into the tank. Once inside it floats around and causes problems. Also go onto the roof and pull the cap off the vent (1-1/2 or 2" pipe)and see if it is blocked. Possibly a birds nest. or just leaves and junk.

You didn't mention if this has just started; or if it's an ongoing thing...
If something has changed to cause it: I'd start looking for an external obstruction. If this has been happening since new: I'd bet on a construction issue.
Good luck!
