Thank you Jerry for all the information. Today I got on the internet & my phone & pieced together our cg stops. I had to change up our route a little bit, but at least I have reservations for our whole trip. I was starting to hit the panic button a little, but now all is good.
Awesome pictures my friend! A lot of people who can't travel right now, can see beautiful scenery through people pictures like yours. Appreciate you taking the time to post them!
Take care & be safe!

Word of the day rodeo

Started the day doing the Buffalo Bill museum. I'm not a museum guy but Maria likes, which means I have to go to museums
Maria found a turquoise bracelet, ring and earring set she had to have. My wallet is a lot lighter today

We then walked the little shops down town and visited the Irma hotel and restaurant. Queen Victoria like Buffalo Bill and gifted him the bar counter inside the Irma

We took a couple hour rest then headed to the Cody cattle company dinner show then the rodeo. It was ok. Glad we did it but if we were to return I'd just do the rodeo

Fun last day. I'm pretty exhausted from the last 3 days and we leave tomorrow. 4 days of driving to get home. Hoping for a windless drive

Rick,
I started my mod thread and this travel thread to help me keep track of what I do. Dates and times are recorded so I can look back and find things if needed

If it helps or amuses anyone that's a plus for me.

Strat a new thread for your trips. You can have friends or family follow along with you. That's why I post every night

Have a great trip and be safe. Don't be in a rush and enjoy.

Jerry

Words of the day are traffic and flat tire.

We left Cody and cut through Yellowstone on our way to Pocatello. Entered the east gate and exited the west gate. We got stopped by Bison who decided to take a break in the middle of the road. So Bison traffic for maybe 10 minutes

Next Bison traffic was a small herd with several babies. This one would have lasted very long but after 15 minutes or so a trucker in an 18 wheeler said screw this. He passed 5 cars honked his horn and drove into them slowly. The herd moved to the meadow. You can see his truck in my pic

Maria got out of the mh to take pics with our friends. When the truck moved the herd she gave him the finger. When he drove by me I gave him a thumbs up.

Next traffic jam was huge. Lucky for us it was going into the park. Traffic was at a stand still or just a couple mph for over 10 miles to the west gate. It was backed up with cars trying to get in.
This was at 11-1130am

If you go to yellowstone get in the park before 8

My buddy picked up a nail in Rigby Id. His tpms alerted him to the leak. We got off the highway and slowly drove to an awesome tire shop. They had it patched in less than 30 minutes

We got a spot at Pocatello koa for the night. Tomorrow Cedar City

Next stop was Wilslow AZ. Yes Jeff we stood on the corner, ate lunch and our friend bought a couple shirts. We've been here before but it's a fun little stop.

We are at USA rv park in Gallup NM. It's a good lay over cg. Not much around here. Clean place for $37 can't beat it.

Tomorrow we leave at 7am to stop at out first cracker barrel of the trip. We love Cracker barrel. Then off to Santa Fe NM for 2-1/2 days

The wind advisory sigh says 25-35 with gusts up to 50. Even with the wind it was an easy drive do 60-65 mph

Words for the day are tired, long, and separation

Not enough sleep last night. Woke up at 330am and couldn't fall back to sleep. And today was our longest drive, 420 miles

We broke camp at 730 and Rick says the tire that was fixed yesterday was down 10psi this morning. He went to a tire shop and bought a new tire. He didn't want anymore problems with it. They also planned to stop in Salt Lake city to visit family. So we left solo to Cedar City koa

Took about 8 hours with a couple stops for gas and a cracker barrel lunch. 90* plus here and we're keeping cool thanks to the second ac unit I installed in the bedroom

Tomorrow is a short ride to Las Vegas. Hopefully a nice dinner and a show.

Jerry

Hi Jerry

If you are going down I 15 from Salt Lake, we usually stay overnight at Mesquite Nevada at the Casa Blanca Casino/R V Resort. Low r v rates($38.00 night with full hook ups) and great food inside the casino.

Today's word of the day is Hell

Got to the Oasis cg in Las Vegas at noon 100* hooked up power to get the two ac going. Went to lunch and bass pro shop. By this time it's 108* hell temps

We were planning to see a show but nothing sounded good. So we're staying in and relaxing before our final day of Travel to get home. After the sun sets I'll do a final tank clean out

Word of the day is home.

Around 730 last night our friends Rick and Lisa, said they were packing up and driving home their travel trailer only has 1 ac unit and it was no match for the 100* plus temps at 730

We got up at 7am and it was 90* we got on the road at 8am. Made it home at 1pm. By 3pm it was cleaned out, inside scrubbed, gas topped off, and supplies restocked. Marias been doing the numerous loads of laundry and tomorrow I'll wash the outside

It was a great trip but it's always good to be home

I'll start editing all the gopro video and will post it later

3300 miles for this trip

Gas prices!!!

Normally as soon as I cross the border from the communist state of Ca gas prices drop at least a doller. Not this trip. Prices were the same or more. The lowest I paid was $3.20 highest $3.90. Most states were closer to the $3.90. I figured when I got home and filled up at costco it would be high but it was $3.50

So expect to pay if you travel soon

Sounds like you had a great trip. We just got back from Port Aransas. Filled up and paid $2.46. Wonder why gas prices were so high on your trip.
Not the best trip for us. Drive side window somehow got hit by a rock and completely fell out. A cement truck passed me and cracked the windshield. Get home and the slide went out about 3” and stopped. I get 8 red blinks followed by 2 green blinks. I guess I have a short somewhere but to tired to mess with it now.

Just got a great buy on gas
On our way north from SanDiego County stopped at Costco-Oxnard
$3.959

This is really gonna start to hurt Joe-6pk
Gas or beer? That’s a tough choice

Just filled up at the QT (Quick Trip) on the corner of the Village, $161.63 for 66 gallons of 89 octane with some ethanol. It would have cost an additional $6.60 to get the gas ethanol free 89 octane.
