This made me smile and tear up a bit. I went to school with the Big Bopperís son, Jay. He was a year behind me in school, and was the sweetest guy. He never knew his Dad in this world because he was born after the plane crash. In his later years he made a living impersonating the father he never met. He died a few years ago from heart problems. I feel certain he knows his Dad now ❤️ Thanks for sharing this, and Iím so glad you are enjoying your travel!

When they finally met after so many years: Do you think he was met with a hearty, "Hello bay-beee!"?

Thought about that but we are leaning towards Grand Teton and Yellowstone OR Montana and Glacier. Not sure yet.

Oh man I think we may be heading that way but not till the end of July. My wife has a cousin in Libby and we want to go visit her while out here. Would have been cool to meet up.

I'm enjoy your posts Grizz!

My wife and I just planned our first log trip next year starting late August to try to miss most of the summer crowds. We plan to head west and hit Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, Deadwood, Sturgis, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Bandlands, Teddy Roosevelt National Park and a few other places along the way.

After seeing your posts.... I wish we were leaving this August!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Judge! There is so much to see and do! Went to Rushmore yesterday and it was impressive! Got a nice shot coming out of the tunnel. And also saw some really huge Bison Bulls yesterday.

We were at Devilís Tower National Monument for a few days. Had a great time. Had to hike to the top from the Campground parking lot. They were paving the road up to the visitors center. It was a nice hike about 4.5 miles round trip But it was HOT! Lol But worth every drop of sweat the Tower is really cool and the hike around it is great!

Having a great time in Grand Teton National Park. Staying at Gros Ventre campground, Pretty cool place. I was pretty surprised that I got a spot. I drove up and there were plenty of spots and still had a few with electric. Huge sites too.

A few pics to share.
