Just Excited Orlando Bound

Hey all Just want to say we have a 2017 Thor Vegas we just got this summer (1st RV) We have done a couple of little trips around to get use to it and learn how to operate it but I have always had to drive my car. Next week we are taking it out on our first big family trip Texas to Orlando Universal Studios! Yipee hitting the open road for mandatory family fun!

Have a safe trip. You might want to stay at Fort Wilderness. Enjoy your trip.

Have a safe and fun filled trip. Watch the traffic around the "attractions" in Orlando. Enjoy your Vegas.

Have a Safe Fun Filled Trip

Universal does not have an affiliated campground (word is they tried and were turned down). Where are you camping during your Universal stay?

Enjoy your trip. Camping spots can be at a premium at this time of year.

You'll see a lot of RVs on the road headed to the Florida sun. Reservations are strongly recommended, as he snow birds are flocking in. The forecast shows cooler weather starting Sunday, so hope you packed jackets! Enjoy your trip!

That's a toasty late November day for you in Tundraland isn't it?

Well that would be about normal but we haven't had a normal day yet this fall. This will be the first high below freezing since last winter should have seen quite a few of them the past few weeks (heck RV has been prepared for this for over a month now! LOL).

Florida is beautiful this time of year. Highs in the low 70's and lows around mid-50's. No A/C or heat needed. So what are we doing? We are headed north for Thanksgiving. After that we are heading to Savannah for a couple of days.

Hey, Jim, the forecast for Sunday is about 10 degrees colder for both the high and the low. That's what I meant by "cooler". It's all relative. If we think it's cold in Florida, we check the temps of friends and family in the frozen north.

Now, where did we put that blanket that we haven't seen since early March?

What's 10 degrees one way or another among friends?? Thanks for the blanket reminder Gerry. This is my favorite time of the year.

I agree with Mr. Sunshine, Florida campgrounds fill up fast in the winter, make advance reservations to avoid a big headache and possibly disappointment when you arrive.

Were leaving in a hour for a Chicago to keywest trip. Not a day to soon. Cold is hitting tonight but driving in a 20-25mph cross wind should be interesting.
