KOA Currituck West

Road going in (about 6 miles long) is narrow and 25 mph except for one section. Class A and C can pass without banging mirrors. The campground is very clean.

We had a pull thru with a water view. We could look out and see water and look up and see water, it rained every day. Good news is the Thor doesn't leak.

The Mrs. rented a golf cart and I see one of those in our future.

Nice place.

This was the best part of the trip. Ducks in NC are smart. Crossing the road at a school crosswalk.

Two places in the area.

Morris farms for fruits and veggies

Weeping Radish to stock the beer fridge.

Thanks. We live in Dayton, OH and have some very good breweries that our son likes so we stocked up for the drive down.

We'll hit your recommendations on our next trip.

Thanks!

We took our boat to the Outer Banks a few years ago, rented a car and went to the Weeping Radish. Food and beer were both outstanding! And I saw
Guy Fieri do a review of them on his "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" show. I'd love to get back there some day.

That’s the place. Bowl of potato soup, the sausage sampler plate and a nice cold Pilsner or two. That’s a lunch. Everything is made on-site.

That's an adorable photo! Maybe they are so smart because they are Canada geese. Those Canadians seem more amenable to following the rules than some of us here.
