We stayed at Oak Creek Family Campground in Walton Kentucky this past summer. It is just down the road from the Ark. Rates were very reasonable. They only have a limited number of large Class A pull thru spots with more back in Class C spots along the creek. We stayed there 10 days but there was a lot of overnight traffic in the campground. If you stay more than a couple of days, they provide a mobile black/grey tank service that comes to your site to pump out your tanks for free.

Another option is Big Bone Lick State Park. They have r v sites with water/electricity at each site and a central dump station. We stayed there 2 years ago. The sites were less than $30/ night. Some sites are not too level. All sites are paved.
