New to RV would appreciate how and where to. Reserve sites in the above states.
I am pushing myself to hit the road but not sure how to start My Journey.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Hello Pattie and welcome to the RV life. Between all the systems in an RV and navigating your journey and stays it can be a lot to learn. You've made a good start joining this forum and asking questions - we have a depth of knowledgeable people here who are more than happy to help you on your journey.

Making reservations requires that you know where you want to stay. Many places will do it over the phone and others require you to do it online. Florida State Parks use their own system at: https://reserve.floridastateparks.org/Web/

They used to use https://www.reserveamerica.com/ which National Parks and many other states use.

As a newby you may want to consider joining RV Life Pro at:
https://rvlife.com/ for $59 a year. Their RV LIFE Trip Wizard has an extensive database of campgrounds with reviews and information including their phone numbers and websites.

I might also suggest you join us for our Fall Rally in north Florida in early October. https://www.thorforums.com/forums/f4...ing-32181.html

You'll meet some great people who will be more than willing to help you figure out your RV systems in person. Again, welcome to the Forum!

There are a lot of free apps available for campgrounds. Some are bias driven by advertisers and others include most everything. I always start my journey with the ParkAdvisor app. It loads campgrounds for the area as you scroll through the map, includes pictures people post and for the most part pretty accurate reviews. You can always Google "campgrounds near so-and-so". RV specific GPS systems have campgrounds loaded as well. I use the Garmin RV 770. You can load your RV profile and it will help you avoid low overpasses, super narrow roads and steep railroad crossings, etc. Harvest Host is another membership platform that list businesses such as breweries, wineries, farms, museums, etc., that allow you to boondock on their property for free in hopes you will do business with them. We love the breweries, wineries and farms as we can stock up on the products they sell as we go...meats, vegetables, spirits. The more you swim in the traveling pool the more you'll learn the options. Another great source is right here on this forum. Many here are intimately familiar with certain regions and have stayed at hard to find, off the beaten path excellent places. Most of our recent travels so far have been in the southeast. Let me/us know as you go and where you're planning to travel and I'll/we'll share these experiences. It's a great lifestyle but remember...it isn't where you're going but how you get there that matters. Take the time and add extra days to venture off the planned path. The best things in this lifestyle are off the beaten paths and along the back roads.
