Florida one month stay
We are looking for advice on a good camping site in Florida, February or March 2022 for ONLY ONE month. Any ideas?? We are having problems finding places that will allow less than a 3 month commitment. We would prefer west coast and southern part of state. Hoping someone can give us some help. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum! To stay a month in the area you, mentioned, you will need to be creative. You might find a mobile home park that will rent a space for a month. We did that in West Palm Beach years ago.
Is there a reason you want that area of Florida? You can probably find a campground in central or northern Florida, and you are never more than a couple of hours fron the Gulf or the Atlantic.
You are smart to be working on arrangements now. Good luck!

February and March is gonna be tough anywhere in FL though; especially after 18-24 months of pent up demand after quarantine. And pricey if you can find one.
But - Check with these guys in Key Largo. This was our destination a few years ago for our first "real" trip after buying our first RV. Mix of campground owned sites; as well as some privately owned sites that are sometimes rented out by the owners.
Nice spot - and if you have a toad or rental - easy access to the rest of the Keys, Miami, Everglades, Tampa etc.

Good luck!

This looked great! Looked available online. I called and they are not taking reservations for this up-and-coming season. Thank you tho for the idea. Maybe in 2023. If you think of another idea, please send my way

Harbor Lakes RV Resort in Port Charlotte. Huge sites, excellent! Mostly a pristine "park model" community but no where near the common live-in rv campgrounds. We stayed 5 days last month and loved the place. Lots are the same size as the home sites but set up as RV friendly. You might have to hook up to the metered power pole but...who cares. Not sure if this is your destination area but close enough to many options.

Central Florida as in Orlando area may not be the warmest in February. Even The Keys can be pretty cool then. But...nothing near what Nebraska will be.

The great Gritz said it right. Compared to Nebraska in the winter months, central Florida is downright toasty! The Orlando area had some nights in the 30s this last winter, but no hard freeze. And most days have sun. If you can't handle long pants and a light jacket for. A few days, paya little more to locate further south. Different strokes for different folks.

Thanks everyone. This is a great resource and we appreciate the expertise. We did find a place in Bonita Springs for one month. It will work! And it will definitely be warmer than Nebraska in February.
