Pismo Beach & Motto Bay

We're off on our annual California Central Coast outing on Thursday. We usually spend about a month (except last year) and enjoy the wineries and beach vibe. This year my daughter and her crew are joining us for my grand daughter's 16th birthday. It'll be great to see them as covid has kept us apart.

Sounds like a great trip. I was there last fall and will be there again at the end of June for a regional Corvair meet. Dragging my 63 Van behind.

We make the trip so often, I regularly consider relocating. Until I look at the real estate prices.

One of the major arguments for rolling through in a RV.

Have fun Paul and keep us updated like you normally do

Three days at golden shore rv park in Long Beach. We've got the coach tricked out from a comfort perspective. The Recpro recliner is good for some afternoon snooze and out to our old haunts. Probably going to add steering stabilizer although it handles just like driving a pickup truck.
Just got to Santa Barbara Elks for another three days. We'll check out the wineries and restaurants for a relaxing time. Mostof the facilities are open with covid precautions in place. We've had our vaccinations and feel much more comfortable going out for evenings. We still wear our masks and keep our distance why take an unnecessary risk.
Pismo Beach next.

I just cancel my reservations at the elks there. Nice enough place. Miss the food on the pier.

We're staying at Pismo Coast. Never stayed at the Elks in Grover Beach. Meeting my daughter and her crew for my grand daughters 16th. Great to see them again.

Cypress RV park in Morro Bay, one of our favorite campgrounds. 10 mpg getting here.

Hey Paul
Maria and I are going to pechanga May 3-5. Don't know when you're getting back from this trip but I know you like pechanga. Welbe in site c17

Morro Dunes looks nice as well

We’ve stayed at several times and have reservations for North Pismo campground in October (no power, but a sewer dump)

Also, there’s Oceano Dunes State Campground with both Electric/sewer sites or boon docking sites.

They are all very reasonably priced with a Senior discount

But the challenge with booking at CA Parks is you must think way way in advance and reserve as soon as they become available on-line

We've pretty much given up on california parks. Trying to get reservations 6 months in advance if you're lucky makes the cost savings moot. We have better luck making reservations at Elks lodges. We have a few favorites and when we're going to the central coast that's where we usually stay.

Hey Jerry,
We don't expect to be home until the end of the third week of April and that's a bit of a quick turnaround for us. Thanks for the invite maybe we can get together at another time. Glad you're feeling better and getting out and about.
Paul

I understand just figured I throw it out there to you. After pechanga we head out to Santa fe NM then to Mt rushmore.
