On the road again

We are heading out today for San Diego. It is a short trip for 3 days. Looking forward to getting out even if it is just a local (2 hour drive) trip. This will be the first use of our newly tuned MB Sprinter. We will get to see how well it does.

Paul

Got back yesterday afternoon. Had a great trip and great weather. The R V Campground had an access gate to the Trolley system next door which made it easy to get around on the electric Trolley Cars. We went to Old Town San Diego for the day on Saturday. It was a busy place and had a great lunch. I found that the new tune installed on our Sprinter Chassis did the following:

Going 55 mph for the 1 1/2 hrs to San Diego we got 16.2 mpg and coming back on the same route going 65mph we got 15 mpg. This was the first trip with the new ecu tune on our MB Sprinter Chassis. It had no issues climbing the hills on I 15.

We stayed at the Sunland R V Campgrounds in La Mesa. The spaces were wide with an asphalt pad for the mh, a cement pad for the table and grass area around the entire pad. Very well maintained and very friendly staff. We even received a going away gift bag from the facility before leaving. It was a very enjoyable short trip of 3 days.

Glad to see that you had a good time!
You mentioned having no trouble with the hills: was the additional power noticeable during normal driving?
Do you feel it was worth the money?

Hi Bob

At this point I think is was worth the money. I plan on buying the OBD2 Genius with the programs installed to have on hand. I will have more data once we go on our trip to Utah next month. That will give me an additional 1300 miles on it on the freeway as well as more climbing through the Arizona mountain pass into Utah.
