Road Trip!

I had to spend the weekend in Portland on family matters. On the way up, I stayed at the Waiiaka RV Park in Yreka, CA. It is he last RV Park on I5 traveling north before the Oregon Border. This is a good place. Friendly people, good cable, drive through spots. AND they bring you popcorn at 5PM.

In Portland, I stayed at the Columbia RIver RV Park. Clean, concrete pads. But the bathrooms were locked. The Wifi was non existant, and the place is way far from downtown. I'll try another place next time.

On the way home, I was in the mood for local diner food. We ended up stopping at Little Suzi's in Myrtle Creek OR (between Eugene and Ashland). This is now a destination for me. That good.

Back at Waiiaka for the night and then first star to the right and straight on til morning (meaning home).

Nice trip. Planning to go up 395 to Tahoe and down 49 on way back in May. Hope no snow on Donner Pass I80.

If I80 has snow, continue up 395 to Hwy 70. Turn left and then left again on 49. It bypasses the pass on 80. Poor Donner party, if only they had known about this other pass! It may have snow, but is passable,

There is another CG farther north in Cali..

Blue Heron RV Park - Hornbrook, CA - RV Park Reviews

I-5 exit 789 I think (Copo Rd)
. A bit off the interstate but well worth the drive
(Note!) Go past the 1st CG you come to.(it's not Blue Heron)
BH is at the end of the road, get a spot that faces the river.
It is really nice and quiet..
