Route through Colorado

Last year we drove our 31’ RV which has a Ford E450 in it to Grand Junction from our home in Phoenix to see my daughter, then on through route 70 to Ohio. Planing on doing the trip again this spring but this time will be dingy towing a Grand Cherokee. It seemed pretty tough going up some of the steep roads on 70. It seemed to have the power to do it by itself, but it shifted up a lot. A little concerned how it will do towing the Jeep. Any thoughts? Maybe a different route once we’re done in Grand Junction.

But that is how the V-10 gets a lot of its torque: through shifting. Put it in tow-haul and let it sing. The V-10 loves the RPM's (and the gas ).

If you want it to behave a little better look into a 5-Star tune.
