St. George State Park, Fl

Going to St. George and noticed they have gravel sites. We have a Vegas 24.1 and don't have stabilizers. This is our first motorhome and we don't know if it is necessary to use stabilizers all the time. Any input and recommendations are greatly appreciated. New to camping in motorhome.

No you do not have to have levelers for MH, it is just easier to level
that way vs using wood or plastic blocks under the tires.

Also with levelers down the MH does not move around when you walk
around inside of it.

Paved sites are more likely to be level, where gravel sites may or may not be level. Florida coastal campgrounds are typically pretty level.

We have HWH jacks on our 25.2, and really like both the leveling and the stabilizing aspects. It's a considerable expense, and not worthwhile for everybody. We use our coach quite a bit, and plan to keep it several years so it is worth the expense to us.

Enjoy St George Island!

Nope don't need stabilizers but you do want to level it for the fridge (use wood, blocks, Lynx levelers, etc.).

Agree with Jamie...in addition, it makes for less stress on your slide .
We use Lynx blocks when needed.

Currently, we are at SanLan in Lakeland, FL ... when we pulled in last Thurs, our site was near a pond...very soft and could not get anywhere near level, so asked if we could move to a better site.
We are happy ! just had to post the photos !
