good for you, enjoy, happy new year to you.
we are in San Diego for the holidays leaving jan 2 on a cruise to Mexico for a week. then to Tahoe for 3 weeks of skiing. then 2 weeks in Galapagos, then 2 weeks in Ireland. then resuming rv travels, hopefully to Alaska via Canada if the global health situation permits it.

sounds like a great place and time, glad to hear about it, thanks. have you looked into visiting the Okefenokee in Georgia at the Florida border? that is a nice visit. March is a good time to be there. we did a 2 night canoe float there and very much enjoyed it. alligators everywhere!
We spent yesterday touring the USS Midway, something I recommend when in San Diego.

You're just about 7 miles as the crow flies away from where I grew up and my parents still live!
Fun fact....well lore that I was told was true but might not be....
Venus Fly Trap plants grow in that park and that's one of the few places in the world where they live in the wild.
We're in our RV at a KOA near Tarpon Springs, FL ....one of only a few available sites I could find at short notice in this area....

Yep - Highly endangered Fly Traps only grow wild in about a 75 mile radius of Wilmington NC (I've spotted a few, and pitcher plants too) in the wetlands behind our home north of town. You likely will spot a few in CBSP if you have sharp eyes; but don't mess with them! Poaching flytraps has been a felony in NC since 2014, and charges were upgraded in 2021.
