First Harvest Hosts stop

WoW! Just had my first Harvest Hosts experience and if they are all half as good as this I’ll be one Happy Camper! We just arrived at our first HH. Ertel Cellars Winery and Bistro in Batesville Indiana. And it is exceptional! The site we were given is in the middle of the vineyard and we are alone...no people no other cars no houses just trees and grapevines. There is only a space for one and we are it! We ordered food from the bistro and it was awesome. And bought and drank a bottle of their wine and it was awesome. So...If you are in Indiana and need a place to spend the night Ertel Cellars Winery is not to be missed!

Thanks for the review. I have been looking at signing up with them when we hit the rd full time. I assume that this was just an overnight stay? Did they offer to let you stay for more than a night?

Your very welcome. Yes it was a one nighter. I think if I had asked and if nobody else was coming it would have been ok.

Agreed! I think it was just our route this strip didn’t seem to have anything available. It seems to have good reviews. Just didn’t work for us this time.

Yeah it is kinda route dependent, but I figured if I use it 3 times it pays for itself and any more, I’m ahead of the game.

Harvest Hosts worth the $80 a year

So with the COVID we haven't traveled as much as we would have liked this Spring and when we have gone places it's been too smaller venues which includes two HH sites around Sebring, FL: Faded Bistro and Beer Garden in town and Sugar Sand Distillery about 15 miles outside of Sebring. Both were very accommodating and the food at Faded Bistro was fantastic. We went to SSD because my wife wanted to get some fresh sugar cane juice to make drinks with and they grow and grind on site. All around awesome places to visit!

Safe travels all!
