Mexico-Canada Border Crossing

Following copied from latest edition of RVtravel.com newsletter:

Go north? Go south? It appears that when it comes to the U.S. borders, “Go neither” is the operative term.

The Department of Homeland Security announced this week that the borders into Mexico and Canada will remain closed to all but essential traffic until at least July 21. This is yet another extension of the border closure that happened earlier this year.

What’s defined as “essential” travel?
  • Work and study
  • Critical infrastructure support
  • Economic services and supply chains, health
  • Immediate medical care
  • Safety and security

Well.... Look at the "Bright Side" of this delay in crossings..
We were able to snag a primo spot 20 miles from the northern border..For 2 weeks!
AND have another in Northern MT 1st 2 weeks of July

Normally these are reserved a year in advance by Canadians....

Borders

Just my personal opinion. I will never consider going over our southern border due to cartel activity, etc. and really can wait if I ever want to go over our northern border. Way too man places to see between the two.

Living in Texas I have no need to cross the official border into Mexico. As to our neighbors to the north, been there done that. While it's a great place to visit, I'm not done seeing 'Murica!

Just got back from 6 days in Tombstone Arizona and will heading out to Yellowstone National Park in about 3 weeks. I will be there for 6 nights. In August we head out to Salt Lake City for 7 days. Too much to see and do right here in the USA.

So many places... so little time!
Paul,
Did you decide on which chassis battery you're going with yet?

Hi Bob

I am waiting until the local MB dealership opens this morning to call them to see if the chassis battery is still under factory warranty. If it is not (which I am sure they will tell me), then I will call a few local shops on the ones I sent you before deciding. I will let you know the outcome.

Paul
