If you are looking at some historical locations, try Camp Floyd State Park, Antelope Island State Park and Promontory (location where the Gold Spike was used for the East meeting the West) which is a National Park. Camp Floyd was an Army base set up when the President was told there was an uprising in Utah and troops were sent in. Antelope Island has free roaming Bison, Elk and Deer plus you get to see how life was on the people at the time. Promontory is where the Golden Spike was used to join the east and west for the first time. The Park Rangers put on a very informative program.
