Lake in Wood, Narvon PA

Escaping Tampa's heat and humidity in PA. We are camped in Lake in Wood RV Resort in Narvon PA near Lancaster. We are located in the rolling hills and beautifully tended farms of PA Amish country.

The resort has about 200 sites in the hilly woods. Sites are flat with full hookups. The roads are all paved and sites are fine gravel. There are two pools, activity building, trading Post, mini golf, cafe/restaurant, two laundries, and multiple park trailer rentals. They also have some unique rentals available -- a yurt, tipi, covered wagon, frontier cabin, caboose, barn, gnome lodge. There is a lake with canoes, paddle boats, and fishing. Golf carts are also available to rent. The on-line ratings score the resort as 10/1/10.

Beautiful resort, great PA Dutch shopping and dining nearby -- we highly recommend this resort.

Spent a lot of time as a kid camping in that area... Bird-in-hand, PA... Lancaster farmers markets, family style restaurants, Shoo-Fly Pie...

Was back there about 5 years ago - stopped at Kitchen Kettle (jams/relishes/fudge/shopping/food)... and downtown Lancaster farmers market. Same vendor - Long's (well his son now) grinding and selling fresh horseradish... the meats (sausage/scrapple...) from the butcher...

Wife bought a ton of jams, chow-chow, pickles, relishes, pickled beets, and shoo fly pie mix from Kitchen Kettle. Tomorrow we are going to Shady Maple Smorgasboard for PA Dutch Sunday dinner. She bought a ring of smoked sausage and peppers cabbage for dinner in the RV this evening.
