100 Amp breaker malfunction.

I often have to reset this breaker after retracting jacks. Just went to do it and could not. Dumb question. Looks like I am missing the test button for the lever. Correct? Ever happen to you?

I've never seen the test button fall away like the one in your photo. Looks like time for replacement of the breaker. If the new CB keeps tripping, it would indicate there is an actual problem with excessive current for whatever reason.

Thanks Tom. surprised me to see it missing too. I really should have it checked to see why it trips so often retracting the jacks.

Check the relay at Jack motor. Check for proper voltage. Check and be sure relay cables are tight. Careful on 12 volt side.

Good luck.

The breaker falling apart might have been your problem all along. Replace it. Hope that fixes it.

20 dollars for a new one just replace it. If the new one trips then take it in

Check all your connection, start from the battery and keep moving till you get to the breaker and check both ground an positive, a bad connection will cause resistance and resistance will cause a voltage drop and a increase in amp draw an amp draw will cause excessive heat, breakers do go bad but some times they fail due to a bad connection, I like to solder all connections and then use shrink tubing, all the shaking of the RV going down the road is just a matter of time before something gets loose and cause problems
