Have you taken a look at the wiring? It sounds like either a chafed wire, or some loose connections.
Good luck!

Wiring where? Do we need to take out the panel the radio sits in? Or do u mean wiring to the fuses?

Make/Year/Model of coach may provide better guided answers.

You may have a "boogered up" plug - the male plug you're plugging in may have shorted wires/contacts in it. If anything causes the center pin to touch the outer contacts - it will blow the fuse.

Try another plug, or even another device.

More likely the wiring than the plug. The plug is DA simple.

How do we get to the wiring? Do we need to take out the panel that the radio nd those plugs sit in?

It won't be easy. On my 2021 Axis I unscrewed the middle dash panel by removing the top piece above it and then two screws at the top of the panel and two at the bottom. That will get you to the outlets and their wiring. But the wiring immediately enters a bundle of wires that is stuffed in behind the dash and I suspect that circuit then goes through the firewall into the engine compartment where the fuse box is located.

On mine it was very difficult to get to that fuse box (looks to me that you would have to remove the hood first), so I just wired the outlets directly to the battery on the right underneath the flip out passenger side table with a 20A fuse near the battery.

That may be your best bet as it may be near impossible to trace the wiring down. Be aware that the outlets will then be powered up all of the time (which was a plus for me) rather than being triggered by the engine's ignition switch.

My husband figured out how to get to the wiring.seems one of the plugs was not connected at all..other is fine, wiring looks good..only thing we can think, because it did work before..the loose wires were grounding out by bouncing around..will have to get new fuse to try again😳. Thanks for all your help!

Thanks for all the replies..we have tried all that we know to do..radio works in another vehicle, gps plugs in and work..doesn’t blow fuse..,new cig plug..only difference I see is gps is a 1amp draw and radio is 1.5..it is also a tighter fit, stronger side clips..may be giving up on radio in rv..
