12V Power To TOAD

Hello,

I have a 2017 Thor Challenger, towing a Chevy Malibu. Does anyone know if there is a dedicated location that is used to power my TOAD while hooked-up. Is there a factory connection or is it specific to the installer's own preference. I am trying to locate the source, as I suspect that the in-line fuse has blown; I no longer have power going to the TOAD; I need to locate the fuse. Thank you!

That fuse should be in the Ford OEM fuse box under the hood centerline near the air filter box.

OK, I'll check that tomorrow. Do you know if it is labelled?
Thank you for your assistance!

Well looking at the labeling for that box from a 2015 here:

https://www.autogenius.info/ford-f-5...e-box-diagram/

I see the trailer brake feed fuse but not the charging line feed fuse. If you don't see anything blown it that box you may have to bite the bullet and look in the THOR fuse box to the left of the driver's left foot.

Good information! I'll look in both locations - hopefully I'll find a bad fuse. Thank you!

Different coach but who knows for sure. 2014 Hurricane 34E had an inline fuse coming directly off the chassis battery positive. 10 Ga wire w a 30 amp fuse and the power went to the 7 way plug in rear. Not sure if this will help but worth a look. Thanks Dennis.

Mover, yesterday I went ahead and drove over to the RV in storage a few miles away since my memory doesn't always work as well as I think it does. But, I took a pic.
The pic shows the wire (w yellow solderless eyelet) I spoke of in the photo attached to the top post of the TH1020 box. The large cable goes directly across top to the positive post on the chassis battery. As someone else said in another post same subject, there is always power on that cable unless you have a battery disconnect in-between.
You will see the fuse holder about 3 inches from where the 10ga cable attaches. That contains a 30 amp fuse and that's what came loose and killed the power to on brake system. The power was constant and ran the compressor on the BrakeBuddy. The installer tied into the 7 way connector to use the power to supply the system.
As said before, not sure your RV is setup this way but it may help. Thx, Dennis.

Hi Dennis,
I am going to get our unit out of storage and start checking the suggested locations for the power & fuse. Thank you for the extra effort to assist; I hope I can return the favour one day. Regards.
