Circuit board replacement help

Hello!

We have a 1995 Thor Columbus. The previous owners advised us that the circuit board that controls the hot water tank needs to be replaced and provided us with the replacement part, a dinosaur replacement board.
He pointed to under the seat of the kitchen table area and said that we needed to look there for swapping it out.
I have inside the seating area and located the furnace box thing with all of the vents connected to it and such but I can't seem to find a way to remove the housing to this unit. Even after removing all of the screws and vents there isn't a way to remove the housing. Can any of you please help me out? We are needing a hot shower!
Is this even the correct spot?
I've attached a photo of the unit I located. Click image for larger version

If it is a board save it. I had one and my friend re soldered a new 10 cent capacitor on saving me $400.00 on my home refrigerator.

You need to connect the duct work so it distributes around the RV. The picture above shows they are disconnected.

Yes I know I disconnected the ducts in a feeble attempt at figuring out how to get to the circuit board. I am not a very handy woman.
This is what it looks like inside am I supposed to remove the black thing? Click image for larger version

It looks like they already removed the old one. I think I might have accidentally thrown it out when I was cleaning up. It was a different color board but looked fairly similar otherwise now that I opened the box to the new one. What do I do with the red wire? I see where I am to plug in the white 8 pin

In this video it shows a green wire but I can only find the 8 pin and the red one. Do all rvs have a green? Sorry for all of the replies. I've never done any repairs to anything. Click image for larger version

Looks like the red wire goes to that round black device with the single terminal on top. In your picture it looks like there is a fairly good schematic on the door of the compartment. It may help you figure this all out.
You now own an RV and you've never repaired anything? Well you won't be able to make that claim ever again.

I think I have all the wires in place. I don't know how to turn on the furnace now. Does the propane have to be on? How do I turn the propane on?

I hooked up the propane line but I can't seem to get it tight enough it just sprays propane out of the connection. I think it might need to be replaced?

Nice looking RV. Way cool retro look to it.

Yes, make sure you tigten down propane line - dont want to burn the thing up or kill someone. You might just need to replace the entire propane line since it may be the orginal one and is deteriorated.

You might find a match online (amazon or some RV parts site). Pick one that is the same length or a little longer with the correct fittings on each end.

Or your local RV repair might be able to custom make some hoses for you? Just a thought.

Does your model have a pilot light or do you hear "clicking" as it trys to light itself?

It looks like the same type most of us have these days. It provides the ignition at startup and monitors to be sure the flame is lit or it will shut off the Gas.
There is a reset switch in the heater compartment that can be pushed in order to get the the unit to try again to light. Or you can remove power which will clear the condition as well and then turn it back on.
If you have leaking connections turn the Gas off and have it seen by a qualified person.

Be careful and do not try to turn on the unit before the propane leak is fixed or you could have one giant 4th of July event with your RV
