Axis 24.1 EMS Install

I received a Progressive Industries EMS for Christmas. Where is the location of the first place I can physically access the incoming AC in the Axis 24.1? Any suggestions for this or another good installation location?

Phil

Depending on the size of the unit I'd try to install it either in with all the stuff behind the cold air return, or run some wires and install it next to the water tank under the passenger bed.

I believe all the 120V wiring goes to that spot (since the converter and the genny crossover switch is right there).

The transfer switch in my 24.1 is by the water filter under the passenger side bed, so just before the transfer switch?

Depends on what you want the EMS to monitor. If you install it after the transfer switch then it will also protect the coach from generator glitches.

Hmmm.. protecting from the generator sounds good - but then not protecting the transfer switch from a shore power surge... Not sure how susceptible it is to that kind of event??
Tradeoff?

Hi,
There is a comment on the Progressive Web Site that the module should be installed before the Transfer Switch:

Progressive Industries RV Surge and Electrical Protection industry lea

As some generators have built-in voltage and frequency protection....

Should be receiving my EMS-HW30C today and installing it over the weekend.
