Ford Warranty

Just purchased a new 2016 Thor 22E Class C motor home. Love it. Took it on its first trip last week, chassis A/C went out. Local Ford Dealer says they don't do motor homes. Camping World not yet responded. Any suggestions?

Find a Ford dealer that can handle heavy trucks.

Or call Ford Customer Service.

After the first night in our new Axis, we realized that the chassis air wasn't working either(January temps had made it seem like cool air!) We returned to dealer but their air guy(pretty sad) couldn't find the problem and wanted to line us up with Ford next day, with no guarantee we would get the coach back the same day. We were loaded down with everything from our traded 37 footer plus 2 dogs, so not practical!!! We decided to head out on our 2 day trip home and fix when we got back.

The problem we encountered was that Ford would only check their part of the system and Thor only picked up where their part joined Ford's portion. We let Thor know there was a problem and then found an independent mechanic who could and would check the whole system!! Found out Thor had never installed any freon!!! Have since heard others have had same problem. We called Thor from the shop with the estimate, got it approved, paid the bill, and Thor reimbursed us. Easy solution and fixed in several hours!

Though your problem may not be freon, not getting caught between the Ford people and your selling dealer, with long waits at both, might make what we did a better alternative!!

The chassis air is all Ford on the 22E. I would call the Ford Roadside Assistance number #800-241-3673 and request the closest location that can perform warranty repairs on your specific vehicle. Have your VIN number handy.
