Slider Location When RV is Stored

Should the slider be in or should it be out, when the RV is stored?

The slides should be in, in storage.

Depends, if you are storing inside and protected from weather, slides can be in or out, whatever is most convenient. If outside I would leave them in their retracted position, to protect them and the toppers as much as possible from the weather and wind.

I do not think there is a right or wrong to this. I have always kept my slide in when stored, why do not know just do.

For outdoor storage... whether Michigan snow/ice or Florida sun - I store with slides in/awning in...
My opinion = the weight of snow/ice, wind, or sun impact on slide toppers and awnings just isn't worth leaving them out if I'm not using the rig.

If you are stored indoors - really doesn't matter then...

I can get to all but a couple of cabinets/drawers with slides in - we don't keep anything in those that we might need to get to between trips.
Of course could always open the slides if really needed.

Tuck everything in, and you'll have less chance of something going wrong...

Welcome to the forum!

I'm with the group that says leave it in, unless you have it under roof and are using it. Unlike that you would have a problem, but if there was a problem with the slide out and it was retracted, you could drive it to a service place. If it was stored out, you would be limited to a mobile service. (My experience is, we had issues with both slides on our previous Class A on separate occasions.)

Suggest you access Ed Felker's excellent crowd-sourced manual for Vegas and Axis:

Many of us have found it priceless! It will answer questions you haven't even thought of yet!
